Marilyn Casey, L.M.T., NM 1935, CO 11526, Board Certified Massage Therapist
Practitioner of Rolf's Structural Integration, Ortho-Bionomy® Practitioner, Holy Fire Reiki Master
Marilyn Casey has spent the last 34 years studying, teaching and practicing bodywork in Hawaii, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico and Colorado. She is presently licensed in the states of Colorado and New Mexico, is Nationally Board Certified and has completed the comprehensive requirements to become a Certified Practitioner of both the Rolf Method of Structural Integration and Ortho-Bionomy® (she is presently working towards her Advanced Practitioner certification in this modality). With these studies and her training in a variety of other “forms” of therapies (i.e.: Lymphatic, Lomilomi, Cranial Sacral, traditional AMMA & other Shiatsu, Sports Massage, Hot Stone Massage and others) Casey offers a diverse understanding of the human body. This background allows her to be of service to most any client.
It is Marilyn’s belief that with knowledge of the intricate workings and inter-relationships of the body a massage therapist/bodyworker develops well-founded confidence in acting on their intuition in a session, is far more creative in their work and has the ability to express oneself clearly to clients, the community and medical practitioners. In other words, a therapist develops a truly professional way of being that anyone can trust. She has put these beliefs to the test repeatedly and with much success.
This Therapist brings to her clients years of experience in teaching Anatomy & Physiology at the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts in Santa Fe, NM and Costa Rica School of Massage. Students and peers say that her enthusiasm, humor, creativity in teaching style, knowledge of the subject matter and unfailing support of her students make her “the best they’ve ever worked with.” Marilyn says that she has had the good fortune to have been taught by many of the “bodywork greats.” Following their example and incorporating the principles of “aloha” from her many years living in Hawaii, she practices in her teaching, practice and life the fun of a constant interest in learning, a deep respect for all humanity and a humility to the mysteries that lie within us all.
